Haywood Regional Medical Center, established in 1927, is the largest healthcare facility in Western North Carolina west of Asheville. This not-for-profit medical center is certified by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

The 194-bed center offers high quality and cost-effective healthcare to children, adolescents, adults and seniors. Its medical care ranges from minor annoyances to critical life threatening problems.
