Carteret General Hospital

Carteret General Hospital is an acute care facility located in the coastal community of Morehead City, NC. This 117-bed facility offers a full range of acute care, diagnostic and outpatient services using state-of-the-art equipment and advanced technology.

Key services include orthopedic, thoracic, vascular, ENT, ophthamologic, urologic, dental, OB/GYN, podiatric procedures, plastic surgery, sleep disorders lab, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, echocardiography, EKG, EEG, stress testing, pulmonary function testing, and respiratory therapy.

Carteret General Hospital houses specialty outpatient clinics, a cancer care center, a 109-bed nursing home, and a full service radiation therapy center. The cancer care center is provided through collaboration between the East Carolina University School of Medicine Oncology department and Carteret General Hospital.

In addition, the hospital organizes wellness programs which help the people to modify negative health behaviors.

Carteret General Hospital accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
