Cherry Hospital

Cherry Hospital has been offering in-patient psychiatric services to the residents of eastern North Carolina since 1880. It is operated by the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities/and Substance Abuse Services.

The hospital provides a wide range of psychiatric programs to teens, adults and seniors. The special services department, house at the hospital, offers a comprehensive and varied program of religious services and volunteer support to enhance the lives of mentally ill patients receiving treatment.

Cherry Hospital accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
