Wentworth-Douglass Hospital

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is the first and largest acute care hospital in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire and southern Maine. It has been a leading medical facility since 1906. In 1982, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital became the first Seacoast hospital to be designated as a trauma center.

The hospital comprises three cottage type buildings - men's ward, women's ward and nurse's home and administrative area - which are connected by corridors. A wide range of healthcare services including acute care, disease management and wellness programs are provided. Surgery, orthopedic, cardiovascular services, sleep disorders, rehabilitation, pain management, wellness and prevention programs, and extensive diagnostic services are the main specialties.

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital serves as a community resource for a wide range of health related topics such as wellness programs, support groups, class calendar and childbirth education.

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
