Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center

Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center is a 95-bed, acute-care facility located in Alamogordo, NM. From its inception in 1948 as a 24-bed hospital, it has been dedicated to providing a tradition of service, quality and access for all citizens of Otero County. Its new state-of-the-art facility, opened in 1999, is one of the first in the country where civilian and military physicians practice the art of medicine in one facility.

GCRMC offers a full spectrum of general medical and surgical services, including ambulatory services, critical care unit, sleep study lab, community outreach, 24-hour emergency services, nuclear medicine, diagnostic imaging, and on-site health screening. In addition, the center comprises of a dialysis center, a wellness center, ACR accredited mammography suite, an oncology clinic, a high risk pregnancy clinic and a 24-hour full service laboratory.

Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
