Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services

Formerly known as the Nevada Mental Health Institute, Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (NNAMHS) is a comprehensive, community-based, mental health system supported by an acute care psychiatric inpatient hospital. Founded in 1882, the hospital provides psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation services in the least restrictive setting to support personal recovery and enhance quality of life. The agency is fully licensed and is certified by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) and the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA).

Inpatient and outpatient services include outpatient pharmacy, program of assertive community treatment, psychosocial rehabilitation program, consumer peer counseling, and service coordinator services.
