St Vincent's Hospital Staten Island
St Vincent's Hospital Staten Island was established by the Sisters of Charity of New York, in 1903. It was the first infirmary in New York State to acquire cobalt therapy for the treatment of cancer. It is the first hospital in Staten Island to offer diagnostic cardiac catheterization and the first to introduce interventional radiology.
The hospital offers excellent inpatient and outpatient services in trauma care, ambulatory surgery, critical care, neuro and orthopedic surgery, home care and hospice care, behavioral health, and speech and hearing.
St Vincent's Hospital is an integrated system of facilities, including center for reproductive medicine, cardiovascular center, comprehensive HIV center, Seizure disorders center, high-risk pregnancy center, and neonatal intensive care center.
The facilities at the St Vincent’s Hospital Staten Island are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
