Northern Dutchess Hospital
Northern Dutchess Hospital (NDH) is a community hospital in mid-Hudson Valley, New York State. The hospital was incorporated in 1923 with an aim at providing balanced care for the individuals in Dutchess County and the southwestern regions of Columbia County.
The hospital consists of 40 medical/surgical, 10 rehabilitation, 11 obstetric and 7 intensive care beds. Its staff comprises more than 116 physicians representing over 30 specialty areas, including internal medicine, family practice, ophthalmology, orthopedics, emergency medicine, pain management, neurology, gastroenterology, urology and plastic surgery. The support services offered include physical and occupational therapy, laboratory and pathology, dietetics, respiratory care and primary vision care.
Neugarten Family Birth Center, Paul Rosenthal Rehabilitation Center, the bone and joint center, NDH center for wellness and rehabilitation, sleep diagnostic lab and Arthritis Center constitute the centers of excellence.
Thompson House is a 100-bed nursing facility located within the hospital campus. Started in 1994, it is committed to providing medically-sophisticated services, personalized care and rehabilitation.
