Sisters of Charity Hospital

Sisters of Charity Hospital, started in 1848, is Buffalo’s first hospital. The hospital, a member of American Hospital Association and the Catholic Association of the US, was founded by the Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul, a community dedicated to serve the sick and the poor.

The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and licensed By New York State Department of Health.

Sisters of Charity Hospital accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
