Memorial Sloan- Kettering Cancer Center is the world's oldest and largest private institution, which is totally devoted to the prevention, treatment and cure of cancer through patient care, education and research. The main campus and inpatient hospital is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York. It has been in service for more than a century.

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is composed of Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Diseases and the Sloan-Kettering Institute. Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Diseases was formerly known as the New York Cancer Hospital.

Early detection, precise diagnosis, individually tailored treatment, and concern for a patient's are provided as part of treatment and diagnostic services. The institution undertakes programs in graduate education.

Memorial Sloan- Kettering runs community-based outpatient treatment centers in Commack, Nassau County, Hauppauge, Sleepy Hollow, Denville and Dover. Through these treatment centers, numerous outreaching programs such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgical consultation, and dermatologic services are delivered. Experimental Therapeutics Center, a multi-departmental program, promotes and facilitates the development of new cancer therapies. It is the site where a diverse group of physicians and scientists from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center are assembled and it supports their basic science and clinical research.

To reach out to the public, Memorial Sloan- Kettering Cancer Center arranges public seminars, workshops and events.

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
