Sound Shore Medical Center
Sound Shore Medical Center, based in New Rochelle, New York, is the largest private teaching hospital in Westchester County. It has been providing primary, acute, emergency and long-term health care to the residents of southern Westchester for over a century. The hospital is designated as a Level 3 perinatal hospital by the NYS Department of Health.
Sound Shore is an integrated system of facilities including emergency department, Gladys and Murray Goldstein Cancer Center, Solomon Katz Breast Center, Mary and Fran Ludington adult day services center, Harriet and Bernard Miller Cardiac catheterization unit, art ambulatory center, sleep studies diagnostic center, diabetes education center, and the orthopaedic and neurological spine center.
Sound Shore maintains affiliations with neighboring educational institutions, including New York Medical College and Westchester Medical Center. Fellowship programs in laparoscopic surgery, endocrinology, and gastroenterology are offered.
