Coney Island Hospital

Coney Island Hospital is a public, acute care facility located in Brooklyn, New York. Established as a first-aid station to serve summer beach goers, in the late 19th century, it is the first hospital of the Health and Hospitals Corporation.

It is a major teaching hospital with more than 50 outpatient clinics through out the region. A comprehensive range of health services, including adolescent medicine, urology, cardiology unit, breast health center and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation center are provided. In addition, reiki, reflexology, massage therapy, meditation and acupuncture for pain control are also offered. An alcohol and drug outreach treatment program is also available in Russian language.

Additionally, Coney Island Hospital has one of New York City’s busiest emergency rooms equipped with its own operating room, X-ray and CT scan machinery.

Coney Island Hospital accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
