Putnam Hospital Center, started in 1964 as a 66-bed voluntary hospital, provides health care services to the residents of Putnam and neighboring counties. The hospital is a member of the American Hospital Association and accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. It is licensed by New York State Department of Health.
Putnam strives to offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services for men, women and children in Putnam, northern Westchester and southern Dutchess counties. Its various areas of specialization include pain management, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, home health care, wound care, hand surgery, plastic surgery, pulmonary medicine, urology, neurology, family practice, dentistry, cardiology and speech language pathology.
