Franklin Hospital

Franklin General Hospital, a member of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, is a community healthcare leader in Valley Stream, New York. It has been serving the residents in Nassau and southeastern Queens counties since 1963. Franklin Hospital has earned the honor of being the only hospital in New York State to receive the ‘Compass Award’ for its outstanding performance.

The hospital offers a broad range of programs and services, including radiology, women’s health, nephrology, surgery, gastroenterology, otolaryngology, cardiology, orthopedics and neurology. In addition, the Franklin houses one of the most advanced emergency departments in the region and a 21-bed short term psychiatric unit.

The Orzac Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation is a 120-bed facility that houses long term care and rehabilitative medicine department, and the medically oriented adult day health care program. Mary L Chrichlow Family Health Center is home to pediatric, women's, family and home care services.

Franklin Hospital accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
