Eddy Cohoes Rehabilitation Center

Eddy Cohoes Rehabilitation Center, a part of Northeast Health, is a leading behavioral health care center in Cohoes, New York. Started in 1989, it is New York State's first and only rehabilitation facility dedicated exclusively to caring for adults aged 55 and above with bone or hip fractures, strokes, arthritis, amputations and other serious impairments.

With its trained physicians and therapists, the rehabilitation center provides a wide range of services, including occupational and recreation therapy, medical treatment, medical and social day services for adults and social work. It also provides two levels of specialized care - an acute care rehabilitation program and a skilled nursing rehabilitation program. In addition, innovative programs such as driver assessment, community re-entry and wound care are implemented to help older individuals.

The centers of excellence include Eddy-Ford Nursing Home, Eddy DayBreak adult medical day services, Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center - a residential facility devoted to residents with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, and Eddy Cohoes Rehabilitation Center.

Eddy Cohoes Rehabilitation Center accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
