Greater Binghamton Health Center

Greater Binghamton Health Center (GBHC), formerly known as Binghamton Psychiatric Center, provides outpatient and inpatient behavioral services for individuals in Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Otsego, Tioga and Tompkins. It aims to promote the recovery of people who are suffering from serious mental illnesses by offering psychiatric rehabilitation and treatment services.

Services provided include clinical services, intensive psychiatric rehabilitation, intensive case management, vocational services, an admission treatment service and geropsychiatric services - based on a holistic care model. Adolescents between the ages of 13 and 17 are served in the adolescent day treatment program and the adolescent crisis residence.

GBHC is a renowned teaching and learning institution that provides clinical internships to students who are training for professional careers in social work, psychology, nursing, therapeutic recreation, dietary and health information management.

Greater Binghamton Health Center accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
