Rockland Psychiatric Center



Rockland Psychiatric Center (RPC) is dedicated to providing treatment, rehabilitation and support to adults with severe mental illness. It serves the residents in Rockland and Westchester counties, and parts of New York City.

RPC shares a multi-service campus of 600 acre with other voluntary agencies. Nathan Kline Institute (NKI), a renowned OMH research facility affiliated with the New York University Department of Psychiatry, is also present in the campus.

The psychiatric center emphasizes on medication management, family support, activities that build social, vocational and educational skills. In addition to intermediate and extended inpatient treatment, RPC provides supportive residential care and residential care facility for adults. Contemporary treatment is also offered for patents. Community-based mental health services in Rockland and Westchester counties and a specialized statewide service for people who are deaf and mentally ill are also arranged.

Rockland Psychiatric Center accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
