WRH Health System
Formerly known as Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital, WRH Health System is an acute-care facility offering a variety of services to encourage health and wellness. It has provided the health care needs of Medina, Wayne and Summit county residents since 1970. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).
It was one of the first hospitals in Northeast Ohio to provide laparoscopic gallbladder surgery, and the first hospital in Medina County to provide Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services and total-body bone densitometry imaging. In addition to the regular services, the hospital conducts a variety of programs to encourage health and wellness. That includes free health screenings, lecture series, speaker’s bureau, and support groups.
