Rhode Island Hospital

Founded in 1863, Rhode Island Hospital is a private, acute care and academic medical center. It is the largest of the state's general acute care hospitals, providing comprehensive health services. The hospital provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to inpatients and outpatients, with particular expertise in cardiology, oncology, neurosciences and orthopedics. Rhode Island Hospital is a major teaching hospital for Brown Medical School.
