Anderson Area Medical Center, sitting in a sprawling 16-acre campus near downtown Anderson, is a licensed and fully accredited medical facility offering a wide range of general and specialized diagnostic, surgical and treatment services, along with Level II emergency and trauma care. A regional referral center in Anderson, the AAMC also serves the residents of Oconee, Pickens and Abbeville counties in western South Carolina, and Hart, Stephens, Franklin and Elbert counties in Northeast Georgia.

Anderson Area Medical Center accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
