Beaufort Memorial Hospital is a Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) accredited hospital providing health care services in Beauport since 1944. It is one of the hospitals in US having its own emergency dock and has been named as one of the nation’s Most Wired hospitals. Duke University Health System is its affiliate.

The Beaufort Memorial Hospital is the largest of all hospitals lying between Savannah, Ga. and Charleston, South Carolina. It can also be accessed via Atlantic Inter coastal Waterway.
