St Marys Hospital

St. Mary's Healthcare Center, a Catholic facility founded by the Benedictine Sisters and sponsored by Catholic Health Initiatives, is the only hospital located in Pierre within a circumference of 120 miles. It is the community’s largest hospital having 475 employees. It also has a clinic in Presho. The Healthcare Center has 105 long-term care beds and 58-unit senior-living apartments and is accredited by JCAHO. Diabetes education and social service programs are conducted by the health center. A laboratory is also functioning here.

St Marys Hospital accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
