Austin State Hospital

Austin State Hospital is a full service acute care hospital situated at Austin in Texas. It was established in 1856 as the State Lunatic Asylum by act of the Sixth Legislature. It is the oldest hospital in Texas for the care and treatment of the mentally ill.
