Vermont State Hospital

Founded in 1891 by the Vermont State Legislature, the Vermont State Hospital serves the needs of mentally ill Vermonters unable to receive treatment and care in other settings. It serves adults with serious and persistent mental illness as part of a comprehensive continuum of care. Vermont State Hospital a center of excellence for inpatient care integrated into an comprehensive mental health care system.

Vermont State Hospital accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
