Sponsored by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Metuchen, Saint Peter's University Hospital is a 422-bed teaching facility providing a broad array of services to the community of central New Jersey. It is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The hospital provides a full range of specialized pediatric healthcare services, one of the most sophisticated maternity programs and operates one of the largest, most advanced neonatal intensive care units in the country. Saint Peter's has adult ambulatory care services, asthma and allergy center, neonatal intensive care unit, regional perinatal center, clinical competency center and transitional care unit.
