Sonoma Developmental Center
Sonoma Developmental Center, started in 1891 at Eldridge in California, is a residential facility for individuals with developmental disabilities. It offers quality care and support in an environment with dignity and respect, for individuals who require specialized services. This development center is operated by the California Department of Developmental Services.
The center holds psychologists, licensed psychiatric technicians, registered and vocational nurses and teachers. It also provides Acute, Nursing (NF) and Intermediate Care facilities (ICF). Various programs and services are organized at SDC such as Social and Behavioral Intervention, Senior and Adult Day Services and Eldridge Community Services.
SDC is licensed by the State of California and certified by the federal government to receive reimbursement for most of the services provided.
