George Washington University Hospital
George Washington University Hospital is a multi-disciplinary tertiary care hospital located in Washington DC. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations and licensed by the District of Columbia Regulatory Affairs Department. The hospital has been jointly owned and operated by a partnership between George Washington University and a subsidiary of Universal Health Services Inc., of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania since July 1997. The new complex started functioning from 2002 offering state-of-the-art medical care and patient accommodations.
Being a part of the George Washington University Medical Center, the GWUH has over 875 staffs and offers many diverse services all in one central location. Breast care services, cardiovascular care, childbirth center, emergency medicine, minimally invasive surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, obstetrics/gynecology and women's heart program are some of the additional services provided by the hospital.
