National Rehabilitation Hospital

National Rehabilitation Hospital is a 141-bed acute medical rehabilitation hospital located at Irving Street, Washington DC. The hospital specializes in treating persons with physical disabilities caused by spinal cord and head injuries, stroke, arthritis, amputation, multiple sclerosis, post-polio syndrome, and other neurological and orthopedic conditions.

The education and training program of the hospital includes a physician residency program, medical student program and pain management fellowship. NRH has a Regional Rehab, a physical rehabilitation network, offering convenient and comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation services in the District of Columbia, Baltimore and suburban Maryland.

National Rehabilitation Hospital accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.

National Rehabilitation Hospital provides both Research and Teaching facilities.
