Baptist Hospital of Miami is an affiliate of the Baptist Health South Florida – one of the largest non-profit healthcare organizations in the region.

In 1998, the hospital received the prestigious Governor's Sterling Award for total quality management. Further, in 1981, the hospital was recognized as a Magnet hospital for Nursing Excellence by the American Nursing Credentialing Center – an affiliate of the American Nursing Association.
