North Broward Medical Center
North Broward Medical Center is a part of the North Broward Hospital District – one of the largest public healthcare systems in the nation. Founded in 1961, the hospital is inclusive of a broad range of facilities including chest pain center, diabetes center, hospice unit, neurological institute, and a level II trauma center.
Effective treatments are carried out here for ailments such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, sleep disorders, and dizziness and balance disorders. Most modern equipments such as non-invasive cardiac imaging, PET scan, virtual colonoscopy, and CT angiograms form part of the treatments.
The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Besides, the Sleep Disorders Center within the hospital is nationally accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
