Candler Hospital

Candler County Hospital, affiliated to St Joseph’s/Candler since 1997, is the second oldest medical facility in US and the oldest in Georgia. It is the only faith based and locally managed health system in Savannah that has been serving the local community for the past 200 years.

Apart from general services, the hospital also has specialty treatment in the areas of oncology, digestive diseases, pulmonology, outpatient surgery and women’s and children’s services.

Candler County Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

Candler Hospital accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
