Baptist Medical Center Dekalb is a modern medical center in DeKalb county. Affiliated to Baptist Health System, it is the largest and the most comprehensive healthcare system in Alabama. It has been in service since 1978 and which is the first venture of BHS outside [Birmingh].

Specialized treatments for heart and lung and cardio-vascular diseases are available there. It also specializes in injury treatments, one day surgery, diagnostic and health care for women. Baptist DeKalb is the first mammography facility in this area.
