East Alabama Medical Center
East Alabama Medical Center was started in 1952, as a public health care center in Alabama. It has been serving the east Alabama community for over last fifty years. In 1999, the hospital earned a special prestigious award as one of the 100-top heart hospitals in the nation.
EAMC engaged in inpatient and outpatient services for the residents of Lee County and certain surrounding areas, and it specializes in laser surgery, open heart surgery, nuclear medicines, orthopedic care and respiratory care services.
The outpatient service center offers cardiac rehabilitation and all other diagnostic cardiac services. In addition, it also specializes in respiratory, endoscopy, neurology, radiology and nuclear medicine services.
EAMC has a helipad for emergency services. Adult day center, auburn university medical center, wound treatment center and sleep disorders center provides additional support services to patients.
