Healthsouth Medical Center is one of five acute care hospitals of the HealthSouth Corporation. It comprises 20 operating rooms, two endoscopy units and a 21-bedded rehabilitation unit.<p> It offers specialty services and unique programs in medical and surgical care. Many of the world's well-known sports stars, celebrities and dignitaries have been treated at the medical center.<p> Gamma knife radio surgery is the main specialty of Healthsouth Medical Center.<p> The hospital is recognized by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

Healthsouth Medical Center accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
