Wilcox Memorial Hospital

Started its operation in 1938, Wilcox Memorial Hospital is a leading medical facility serving the needs of the residents of Kauai. The 86-bed hospital complex is situated on 17 acres of land donated by the Lihue Plantation. The hospital is a network of Wilcox Health. It is accredited by Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO).

In 1996, Wilcox Memorial Hospital affiliated with Kauai Medical Clinic to integrate resources, teaching programs and case management. In 2001, the hospital merged with Kapiolani Health and Straub Hospital and Clinics to become a new corporate named Hawaii Pacific Health.

Laboratory, ICU/CCU, a CT and MRI facility, and radiology are some of the services provided by Wilcox Memorial. It also houses a gift shop near the lobby of the hospital adjacent to the Kauai Medical Clinic and a thrift shop in the rear of the hospital grounds on Kuene Street.

Wilcox Memorial Hospital accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
