Hale Hoola Hamakua

Opened its doors in 1951, Hale Ho'ola Hamakua serves the healthcare needs of the communities of Hamakua and North Hawaii. Originally known as Honoka'a Hospital, a new facility was also opened above the old hospital in 1995 to provide long-term-care services. Skilled nursing/intermediate care, laboratory, radiology and limited acute care services are the main services of HHH. A volunteer program and auxiliary organization are in operation to provide financial and manpower support to the facility.

Hale Hoola Hamakua accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
