North Hawaii Community Hospital
Opened in May 1996, North Hawaii Community Hospital (NHCH) is a full service acute care hospital serving the residents and visitors of the northern region of the Big Island. Centrally located in Waimea, this community owned non-profit hospital is governed by a local board of directors.
NHCH offers 40 acute care beds including 31 medical/surgical, 5 obstetric and 4 critical care beds. This Community Hospital is affiliated with Adventist Health, headquartered in Roseville, CA and has 119 medical staff.
NHCH offers a full spectrum of acute care hospital services with a commitment to patient-centered care such as critical care/intensive care, OB/GYN services, adult and pediatric medical/surgical services. Consulting medical staffs in the disciplines of naturopathy, chiropractic, acupuncture, massage therapy and clinical psychology also offers their services to NHCH.
