Kootenai Medical Center (KMC) is a premier healthcare facility in Kootenai County. It serves the health-care needs of north Idaho through service excellence, community leadership and compassionate care.

Diabetes education, diagnostic imaging/MRI, dietary/nutrition, behavioral health, north Idaho heart center, occupational health and rehabilitation are the services provided there.

Apart from its licensed beds, KMC boasts additional 70-beds in mental health, residential, chemical dependency and skilled nursing (the Kootenai Transitional Care Center) sections, and a four bed sleep disorders laboratory.

Kootenai Medical Center accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
