Gottlieb Memorial Hospital
Founded in 1961, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital is a non-profit, non-sectarian community hospital in Melrose Park, Illinois. Placed in about 36-acre of land in the medical center campus, Gottlieb is best known for its Level II trauma center, heart center, Marjorie G. Weinberg Cancer Care Center and Gottlieb Health and Fitness Center. The hospital contains 247 beds with about 1,200 employees, more than 300 physicians and dentists on staff, and about 200 volunteers. It is accredited by Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO).
The main services offered by Gottlieb include maternity care in LDR (labor/delivery/recovery) rooms, women’s health programs, same day surgery, and the latest technological advances in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed axial tomography (CAT) scanning and laser surgery. Other Gottlieb services are pastoral services, newspaper, pain management, cafeteria, gift shop and outside food. The Emergency department with a heliport, the Cancer Center, a Kidney Dialysis Center and a large warehouse building is on the west side of the campus. Parking is available in the main parking lot.
