Clay County Hospital



Clay County Hospital is a county-owned and supported facility started in 1950. Located 100 miles east of St. Louis in Flora, this fully licensed and accredited facility specializes in personal, primary care, with a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, including specialty representation. It is accredited by Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO).

The new hospital complex was completed in 1998 with the license for 18 beds and four unlicensed observation beds. The new hospital offers health-care services to best serve the community, and accommodates a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient services. Some of the services are emergency and urgent care services, heart services, pulmonary and respiratory services.

Clay County Hospital accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
