West Suburban Medical Center
West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park is a community-based, Catholic, acute care hospital serving the diverse communities of Chicago and the near west suburbs. Its parent corporation, Resurrection Health Care is a not-for-profit Catholic organization sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth and the Sisters of the Resurrection. In addition to the main hospital, Oak Park campus consists of a Patient Care Pavilion, a Professional Office Building, and the West Suburban College of Nursing.
The facility, first opened its doors as a 90-bed facility on February 17, 1914, has expanded its service beyond the Oak Park Campus with the development of a River Forest Campus, which includes the Center for Breast Care, Center for Cancer Care and the Center for Primary Care.
West Suburban Medical Center offers a wide range of integrated health care services and specialties. Its major services include behavioral health services, cancer services, cardiac services, emergency services, family practice, internal medicine and sleep disorders.
Dedicated to providing quality care, the hospital continues to receive a number of distinctions from different accrediting bodies.
West Suburban Medical Center accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
