Passavant Area Hospital
Passavant Area Hospital is a 168-bed community hospital serving the residents of Morgan, Cass, Greene, Scott, and Macoupin counties in west central Illinois. Opened in 1875, this hospital was formerly known as the Jacksonville Hospital. Supported by a staff of 600 employees, both full and part-time, this hospital provide high-quality healthcare through the area. Passavant is accredited by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is a member of the Illinois Hospital Association, the American Hospital Association, and the Voluntary Hospitals of America.
The main services of PAH include cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary department, dermatology, emergency care, obstetrical care, health information services, imaging services, intensive/coronary care unit, medical laboratory, neurology, nutritional counseling, oncology clinic, pharmacy, rheumatology, tele-heart program, wound center and obstetrics. All rooms are equipped with televisions and telephones. In addition to the daily care of the ill and injured, Passavant also promotes the importance of preventative healthcare through its numerous community wellness and educational programs.
Special services include volunteers, social services, interpreters for hearing impaired or non-English speaking patients and gift shop. Cafeteria, pastoral care and parking facilities are also provided.
