Carle Foundation Hospital

Carle Foundation Hospital is a 300 bed not-for-profit regional care hospital located in Urbana, Illinois. It is the primary teaching hospital for the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Urbana Champaign. Being the only Level 1 Trauma Center in this area, it provides quality care and services to their patients. It is a part of the Carle Clinic Association and is accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Carle Foundation Hospital offers Carle Heart Center, Carle Cancer Center, Family Centered Care Birthing Center, Regional Sleep Center and 25 departments including surgical, cardiovascular and neonatal ICUs. Some of the specialty programs and services include sports medicine, palliative medicine, hospitalists services, EMS system, telemedicine, echo program (hearing), pediatric oncology, low vision and rehabilitation services. Complete air medical transportation services throughout east central Illinois is carried out by AirLife helicopter, which is stationed at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Carle Foundation Hospital accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
