Saint Anthony Hospital
Saint Anthony Hospital is a catholic non–profit community teaching hospital located in Chicago. Since its inception in 1896, it has been at the forefront of innovative approaches to health care and service to the sick.
Today, Saint Anthony is a 170-bed facility staffed by 650 associates and a medical staff of 200. It provides a wide variety of services including obstetrics, pediatrics, adult medicine, general surgery, orthopedics and geriatrics. Saint Anthony delivers thousands of free health services, including a variety health classes, screenings and other health-related events to the community. Its department of medical education offers core and elective classes for medical students in several medical specialties.
In addition to its medical responsibilities, the hospital provides social services and community outreach programs to Chicago's underserved communities of Pilsen and Little Village.
Saint Anthony Hospital is the only Chicago area member of Ascension Health, the nation's largest Catholic and nonprofit health system. It is among Illinois’ top ten Medicaid service providers and one of the largest employers in the community.
Saint Anthony Hospital accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
