Memorial Hospital Of Carbondale
Started in 1959, Memorial Hospital Of Carbondale is a 132 bed medical unit serving southern Illinois as a regional medical center. It is home to Illinois’ largest and most spacious birthing center south of Springfield. Besides, this hospital is home to the leading open heart surgery and cardiac care program in southern Illinois, with outcomes that exceed national standards. MHC is also known as the only pediatric unit in southern Illinois. It is affiliated with Southern Illinois University's Medical School through its Family Practice Residency Program.
Being a regional cancer treatment center and the only Level II-plus neonatal intensive care unit south of Springfield, the hospital features the area’s most advanced imaging center. The key services are rehabilitation services, radiology services, neurosurgery, laboratory services and cardiac services.
