St. Elizabeth's Hospital
St. Elizabeth's Hospital is a 500-bed major medical center founded by the Hospital Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis in 1875. With a medical staff of more than 230 physicians representing over 30 medical specialties, the hospital provides a wide range of medical, surgical, obstetrical, pediatric and intensive care services.
The hospital also offers a 24-hour emergency room, the Mother Child Center for obstetrics, comprehensive physical therapy, diagnostic imaging services, a sleep disorders center, a cardiac rehabilitation center and behavioral health services. The hospital's new surgery center provides 14 surgery suites, two open-heart suites and 26 same-day surgery rooms. St. Elizabeth's also operates an urgent care center at1512 N. Greenmount Road in O'Fallon.
In 2004, the hospital became the first in the St. Louis region to be named an accredited chest pain center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers.
