Started its function in 1996, Advocate Christ Hospital and Medical Center is a not-for-profit teaching, research and referral medical center in Oak Lawn. This hospital is one of the most comprehensive providers of pediatric care in the state and is a leader in cardiology, surgical services, oncology, women’s services and emergency medicine. Christ Medical Center is part of Advocate Health Care, one of the nation’s leading integrated health care systems.

With a medical staff of more than 900 physicians, representing more than 60 specialties and subspecialties, Christ Medical Center offers complete medical and surgical services for pediatric patients. The facility has 45 private inpatient rooms, a 12-bed pediatric intensive care unit and a seven-bed pediatric surgical heart unit.

Christ Medical Center also is a state-designated Level I trauma center providing trauma patients with the most sophisticated emergency medical care. It offers a full spectrum of adult cardiovascular services. Special services nurse liaisons/guest services, spiritual care services, home health care, anesthesia, outpatient pharmacy and courtesy discharge program. Amenities of ACHMC include cafeteria/meals, gift shop, ATM machine, flowers and mail delivery, parking and overnight accommodations for out-of-state visitors.

Advocate Christ Hospital and Medical Center accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
