Loyola University Medical Center is one of the nation's leading academic medical centers providing skilled, compassionate care to its patients for 30 years. Located in 73-acre campus in Maywood, the hospital is a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and is accredited by Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO). The campus also includes the Foster G McGaw Hospital, Russo Surgical Pavilion, the Ronald McDonald Children’s Hospital of Loyola, Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center, Mulcahy Outpatient Center and an Oral Health Center.

This not-for-profit facility provides key services such as general intensive care, cardiac intensive care, cardiology department, open-heart surgery, neurology department, pediatric medical and surgical care, physical rehabilitation, obstetrics, orthopedics department, emergency department and trauma center. The LUMC conducts various researches in the treatment of cancer, organ transplantation, heart disease and neurological disorders. Community outreach including health fairs and health screenings are also arranged by the center.

Loyola University Medical Center accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
