Methodist Hospitals is a community-based healthcare facility in northwest-Indiana. It was started in 1923 with an aim at providing diagnostic and treatment services to the residents of Gary, Merrily and surrounding communities.

This medical system comprises of two full service hospital campuses - Methodist’s Southlake Campus in Merrillville and Methodist’s Northlake Campus in Gary, an outpatient facility at Midlake Campus and three primary care centers in Lake County.

It provides a broad range of clinical services such as cardiovascular services, neuroscience services, women's services, orthopedic services, rehabilitation and behavioral health, and additional facilities such as diabetes center, center for weight loss surgery and occupational medicine.

Methodist is a fully accredited facility and affiliated with numerous organizations and other healthcare systems. It is accredited by the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Hospitals Organizations (JCAHO) and Indiana State Board of Health.

Methodist Hospitals accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
