Newman Regional Health

Newman Regional Health of Emporia is a pioneer health service provider, established in 1922. For over 8 decades, the health center has undergone several expansions by providing high quality healthcare to the people of Lyon County and the surrounding communities. It offers a wide range of medical and surgical services as well as women’s services, critical care, level II nursery, 24 hour emergency services, outpatient services, chemical dependency treatment programs, home health care, and hospice services. Nearly 500 employees, 300 volunteers, and over 130 physicians are working here.

An 18 bed Transitional Care Center, attached to the center, provides ongoing care after dismissal for those needing additional care during recovery. Sleep disorder lab and bone densitometry screening are the other newest additions to the hospital.

Besides, Newman Regional Health is a teaching hospital and is home to the ESU Newman Division of Nursing.

Newman Regional Health accepts both Medicare and Medicaid patients.
